GW2 guild FAQ
Guild Wars 2 Guild Finder questions and answers
Plain answers about finding a Guild Wars 2 guild, listing your community, and meeting players who share your interests.
Finding a Guild
Find a community that fits your adventures in Tyria.
- What is Guild Wars 2 Guild Finder?
- Guild Wars 2 Guild Finder is an independent directory that helps players discover guilds, compare their activities and requirements, and contact a community they would like to join.
- How do I find a guild?
- Browse the guild directory, search by name, and filter by playstyle, region, timezone, language and recruitment status. Open a profile to read its description, requirements and joining instructions.
- Which activities can I search for?
- Find guilds for Social, PvE, Raids, Fractals, Strike Missions, WvW, PvP, Open World, Guild Missions, Roleplay and Achievement Hunting. You can also look for New Player, Returning Player, Casual, Hardcore and PvX communities.
- What should I check before joining?
- Check the region, usual play times and timezone, language, activities and recruitment requirements. Ask whether the guild welcomes your experience level, how events are organised and whether voice chat or regular attendance is expected.
- Can guilds find me instead?
- Use Looking for Guild to describe the activities you enjoy, your region and when you usually play. Share enough information for recruiters to understand the community you want to join.
Listing a Guild
Help new members understand what your community offers.
- How do I list my guild?
- Sign in and submit a guild profile with its name, description, activities, region, timezone, requirements and joining links. Include a logo or banner to help players recognise your community.
- What should my recruitment description include?
- Describe what you play together, when your members are active, how you welcome newcomers and what you expect from members. For organised groups, explain experience, build, voice chat and attendance expectations. Include expansion or content-access requirements where relevant.
- Can I add Discord and application links?
- Yes. A guild profile can include a Discord invite, website and application link. Make sure these links work and explain who new arrivals should contact.
- Are listings reviewed?
- Guild submissions and sensitive profile edits may be reviewed before publication. Keep recruitment information accurate and use the report option to flag problems with a public listing.
- What does a verified profile mean?
- Verification relates to the site’s review of a guild representative. It is not an ArenaNet endorsement or a guarantee of a guild’s conduct. Read the profile and speak with its recruiters before joining.
- How can I correct an unclaimed profile?
- Use the ownership request option on an unclaimed profile if you represent the guild. For incorrect information or unsafe links, use its report option so the site team can review the listing.
Community Features
Keep track of guilds and get to know their members.
- Can I save guilds to compare later?
- Signed-in players can favourite guild listings and return to them while deciding which communities to contact.
- Can I ask questions on a guild profile?
- Guild profiles can include a public posting board when their owner enables it. Use it for questions about recruitment or the community, and keep personal account information out of public posts.
- Does Guild Finder replace my guild’s Discord?
- Guild Finder helps players discover and compare communities. Guilds continue to manage their own Discord servers, applications, in-game invitations and member rules.
Safety and Independence
A community directory with clear boundaries.
- Is Guild Wars 2 Guild Finder affiliated with ArenaNet?

- Do I need to share my game password?
- No. Never share your ArenaNet password, authentication codes or recovery details with a guild recruiter or post them on this site. Manage your game account through official ArenaNet services.
- How do I report a listing?
- Use the report option on the guild’s public profile to flag inaccurate information, impersonation or unsafe links. Include a clear explanation so moderators can investigate.
- Where can I find help with my game account?
- ArenaNet’s official support site handles account access, purchases and technical problems. Guild Finder cannot recover or modify your game account.
